Charges: Man Committed Sex Act On School Bus
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 53-year-old man is charged with criminal sexual conduct after police say he committed an indecent sex act on an occupied school bus.
The incident occurred around 7 a.m. March 17. Police say Michael Charles Friedrichs posed as a student, entered the school bus and then began damaging some of the seats on the bus with a sharp instrument.
When officers arrived at 42nd Street East and Cedar Avenue South, they found that the man was also touching himself while children were on the bus.
Investigators say Friedrichs was carrying a backpack and covered his face in order to sneak on the bus and pose as a student, without being noticed by the bus driver.
Friedrichs was arrested Wednesday and is currently in custody at the Hennepin County Jail.
