Charges: Man Breaks Into 2 Apts., Uses Victims' Toilets
MAPLE GROVE (WCCO) -- A 29-year-old Maple Grove man is facing unusual accusations after he allegedly broke into the apartments of two women, used both of their bathrooms and was caught in their bedrooms.
According to the criminal complaint, on Sept. 17, police responded to a burglary call at an apartment building on the 9800 block of 69th Avenue in Maple Grove. When they arrived, the female victim said she woke up to an unknown man standing in her bedroom. She said she then chased him out of her apartment.
The woman told police she believed the man drank two liquor bottles from her refrigerator while he was in the apartment and that it smelled like he had defecated in her bathroom. She added that it appeared the man had also tried her pants on and had been handling her brassiere.
Crime lab personnel responded and lifted fingerprints from the apartment. Fingerprints removed from the liquor bottles matched those of Vincent Dean Frazier, who lives in the same apartment complex and matched the victim's description, the complaint said.
Two days later, police responded to a similar burglary at an apartment building -- close to the first incident -- on the 9700 block of 69th Avenue. The female victim told police that she woke up to a man standing in her bedroom, that he left and that it smelled like the man defecated in her bathroom.
According to the complaint, police dogs later tracked Frazier to a propped open service door at 9800 6th Avenue.
Frazier has been charged with two felony counts of first-degree burglary. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years and/or a $35,000 fine per charge.
