Charges: Lakeville Teller Stole $95K From Her Bank
FARMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) -- A 31-year-old Farmington woman was charged Friday in connection with the loss of $95,000 from the Lakeville bank where she had worked.
Leah Marie Bremner was charged with felony theft by swindle after alleged thefts occurring between May and October of 2010. At the time, she was the bank's senior teller.
The complaint states that when confronted, Bremner broke down, admitted stealing from the bank, and mentioned the loss of her husband's job and financial problems at home.
Bank records reveal she took $7,300 in May 2012, $17,800 in June, $20,400 in July, $28,500 in August, $16,000 in September, and $5,000 in October.
