Charges: Four Men Burglarize Home, Leave Occupants Bloody, Beaten
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Three men have been charged with burglary and assault in connection with a break-in and robbery of a South St. Paul residence that left the two occupants bloody and beaten.
Soloman Daniel Campbell, 28, of St. Paul, Arlin Maurice Thunder, 39, of Redby, and Robert George Head, 27, of Brooklyn Park, have each been charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and first-degree burglary.
According to the complaint, St. Paul Police were dispatched to a South St. Paul residence at about 10 p.m. on May 18 and saw four men exiting the residence. After commanding the suspects to stop, only Campbell did, and he was holding a laptop computer in his hands.
Police tracked down two of the remaining three who fled – Head and Thunder – and recovered a bloody metal pipe and a handgun that the suspects had tossed while running away.
Thunder also had blood spatter on his clothing at the time of his arrest, according to the complaint.
Once back inside the house, police found one victim with several wounds on his head and neck. The victim said he was attacked at gunpoint when the four suspects broke into their home. A second victim was unconscious and covered in blood from several head wounds. Both victims were transported to Regions hospital.
The first-degree assault charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and/or a fine of $30,000.
The second-degree assault charge carries a maximum sentence of seven years in prison and/or a fine of $14,000.
And the first-degree burglary charges carries a maximum charge of 20 years in prison and/or a fine of $35,000.
