Car Broadsided In Carver Co. Crash, 1 Dead
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a fatal accident that happened in Carver County on Thursday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol said that just before 9:30 a.m., Ashley Meuwissen was heading north on County Road 53, which turns into Highway 284.
She was driving a Pontiac Grand Prix and was crossing Highway 212 when her car was hit by a trailer truck traveling west on Hwy. 212.
Her vehicle was broadsided. The state patrol said that roads were wet at the time.
Meuwissen, 23, from Cologne, Minn., was pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
