Can't Stand The Heat? Get Out Of The Kitchen
ROBBINSDALE, Minn. (WCCO) -- It was so hot Tuesday afternoon that Travail Kitchen and Amusements in Robbinsdale closed for the day.
Temperatures reached the upper 80s in the dining room and a whopping 115 degrees in the kitchen.
"Last thing we want is someone to get here who's been out in the heat and sit down in, you know, 84, 85, 86 degrees and have cooks cooking in a kitchen that's 115," said owner Mike Brown.

He said the building has a relatively new air conditioning system but Tuesday's record heat was just too much.
"We work on French flat tops. It's like the hottest cooking surfaces you can possibly work on," Brown said.
They plan to reopen Wednesday as cooler weather arrives.
