Buy A House -- Get A "Lamborghini?"
GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. (WCCO) -- Here's the pitch -- if you buy a certain house in Golden Valley, the seller will throw in a Lamborghini for free ... sort of.
Too good to be true?
In this nice, quiet Golden Valley neighborhood, there is a home for sale that comes with a little something extra.
But real car nuts will notice this car doesn't sound exactly like it should. That's because this Lamborghini replica does not have the Italian 12-cylinder engine -- it is powered by an General Motors V6.
"We're riding in a mock Lamborghini Diablo," said realtor Jeremy Rock.
He's behind the wheel -- which is a bit of a struggle at 6-foot-5 -- and he's also a bit of a car nut. So the idea to throw in the Diablo with the house works for him.
"We have seen recently a lot more people offering special incentives to buyers, but its usually more like a flat-panel TV, or something in the $500 or less type of range," he said. "The car deal was added last week and we're already seeing an uptick in interest."
The house is spacious, and nicely remodeled, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The spicy sports car is supposed to draw the attention of buyers who can afford the asking price of $393,000.
And Rock said the seller would consider a deal without the car. But a smaller driver might love that thing.
"It's fun, it's an exhilarating ride, but, to tell you the reality, I don't think I could do this for very long, because my back would be killing me," Rock said, squeezed in the red car.
Even though the car is a replica of a 1994 Lamborghini, the owner says it is still worth about $60,000 -- compared to $200,000 for the real thing.
