Brothers Found Guilty In Rape Of Mother, Teen Girl
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Two brothers have been found guilty of breaking into a north Minneapolis home last summer and raping a woman and her teenage daughter.
A judge found 32-year-old Reggie Bishop and 31-year-old Deondre Bishop each guilty of two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of first-degree burglary, the Hennepin County Attorney's Office announced on Tuesday. As part of an agreement, eight other charges against the brothers were dropped.
The Bishop brothers are slated to be sentenced on Sept. 12. They are expected to each get 30 years in prison, as part of the agreement.
Last July, the brothers, along with 32-year-old Roynell Taylor, broke into a home on Bryant Avenue North. They wre armed and wearing white masks.
When a teenage girl found them in the kitchen, they demanded money. The brothers and Taylor then raped the girl and her mother, searched the home for cash and left with TVs, a laptop and cell phones.
Taylor pleaded guilty to the same three charges of which the brothers were found guilty. He is also expected to get 30 years in prison when he is sentenced later this month.
