2 Brooklyn Park Homes Damaged In Fire Training Exercise
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Some homes in Brooklyn Park were damaged in a fire training exercise Monday afternoon.
The vinyl siding on two homes melted after the exercise went awry. Firefighters were burning down two other houses across the street in a training exercise when the heat spread.
The fire chief said the wind shifted, shooting heat at the neighbors' homes.
He said the city will pay for the damage.
