Broncos-Vikings Game Will Be On TV In Minnesota
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings have avoided a local television blackout for Sunday's home game against Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos.
Chief marketing officer Steve LaCroix says the game will be broadcast on Fox in the Twin Cities market.
The Vikings had about 5,800 tickets available for the game 10 days ago and about 3,000 left at the beginning of the week, but they reached another sellout of their 64,000-seat stadium to ensure local television coverage despite their 2-9 record.
The Vikings have gone 142 straight home games without a blackout, including preseason, regular season and playoff games since the start of the 1998 season. The Vikings have home games left against New Orleans on Dec. 18 and Chicago on Jan. 1.
