Brett Favre Hall Of Fame Display To Include Vikings Jersey
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Brett Favre made himself a legend in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers, winning a Super Bowl and setting all kinds of passing records.
Favre will be inducted to the NFL Hall of Fame this weekend, and his display for the event is interesting to the point that it could anger some Packers fans. His induction class includes Marvin Harrison, Tony Dungy, Kevin Greene, Orlando Pace, Eddie DeBartolo, Kenny Stabler and Dick Stanfel.
A picture released by ESPN on Wednesday showed what Favre's display for the Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, looks like. It includes virtually all Packers gear, as we would all expect.
But in the far right corner hails a white and purple No. 4 Vikings jersey. Favre spent the last two seasons of his career with the Vikings, leading them to the 2009 NFC title game, a bitter overtime loss to the New Orleans Saints. The 2009 season was one of the best of his career statistically. He threw for more than 4.200 yards and had 33 touchdowns with just seven interceptions.
Favre, who will be inducted to the Hall of Fame on Saturday, played 16 years for the Packers before he was dealt to the New York Jets.
For Packers fans, Favre having a Vikings jersey in his display is something that won't sit well.
