Apple Valley Man Accused Of Shooting At Girlfriend
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in the west metro say a 36-year-old Apple Valley man is in custody after he allegedly shot at his girlfriend over the weekend.
Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson says the alleged shooting happened early Sunday morning on the 10000 block of Minnesota Highway 7 near Watertown Township.
A 25-year-old woman reported that her boyfriend fired two shots at her as she fled into her home. Earlier in the evening, she said her boyfriend threatened to kill her if she tried to leave him.
Authorities found the boyfriend and another woman who was present during the alleged shooting in Deephaven, about 20 miles east of where the girlfriend lives.
Both the boyfriend and the woman were arrested and booked into Carver County Jail.
While the sheriff didn't name the boyfriend, jail records show that David Ellis, 36, of Apple Valley, was booked Sunday morning on suspicion of attempted murder.
