Boy Shot Near Minneapolis High School, Police Say
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police are investigating after a boy was shot near a high school in north Minneapolis Monday afternoon.
According to the Minneapolis Police Department, the shooting happened near Patrick Henry High School at about 3:12 p.m. The police department's shot-spotter technology indicated a shooting in the area of 45th and Logan Avenues North. At the same time, emergency dispatch for the department received a call about a shooting in the area.
Authorities say a juvenile male walking in the area was hit in the shoulder by gunfire. The male was taken to North Memorial Hospital with injuries that were considered non-life threatening.
Police say they have not made any arrests in the incident and have no information about a shooter. It's not known if the male attends a Minneapolis school.
