Medical Examiner: Body Found In River Is Missing 'U' Student
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the body found in the Mississippi River Wednesday as 20-year-old David Miller, a University of Minnesota student missing since last Tuesday.
Miller was last seen leaving his dorm late that evening. His roommates first reported him missing after he didn't show up for a final.
The Medical Examiner's office hasn't determined an official cause of death, and say the investigation is ongoing. Investigators say they don't suspect foul play.
The Hennepin County Sheriff's office said the body was pulled from the Mississippi River Wednesday morning near Lock & Dam #1. University Police, Minneapolis Police and the Hennepin County Water Patrol assisted in the search.
