Body Found In Brooklyn Center Chimney Identified
BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. (WCCO) -- Police have identified the man found dead inside the chimney of a Brooklyn Center apartment building.
Brooklyn Center Police say John Stoick, 57, of Minneapolis, was found dead, stuck about 15 to 20 feet down the chimney.
Police were called to the 5300 block of Russell Avenue North on April 27 on a call regarding possible squatters, according to Tim Gannon of Brooklyn Center Police.
Police had to cut the body out of the chimney in order to remove it. The cause of death is unknown, pending a report from the medical examiner.
