Bloomington Police Dept. Honors Officers For Bravery

BLOOMINGTON (WCCO) -- The Bloomington Police Department held a special ceremony for those who went above and beyond to protect their neighbors.

Among those honored were eight officers who responded to a large apartment fire in February, catching kids as they were thrown from windows.

James Glover received the Citizen Medal of Valor. He used his Hummer to stop an erratic car from plowing into the crowd at the Race for the Cure on Mother's Day.
