Blackduck Man Convicted Of 2 Rapes On Red Lake Reservation
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 66-year-old northern Minnesota man was convicted Friday of sexually abusing two women on the Red Lake Indian Reservation.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says William Andrew Clark, of Blackduck, was found guilty of two counts of sexual abuse -- once of which was considered aggravated sexual abuse -- in connection to two rapes on the reservation.
The first instance was in the fall of 2013, when Clark raped a woman who was intoxicated and unconscious. The second one was in September of 2014, when Clark drove a woman to a remote part of the reservation and raped her.
Red Lake Police and the FBI worked together in investigating these cases. Clark's sentencing date has not been set.
