Beyonce Concertgoers Take Shelter Due To Severe Weather
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Beyonce fans were forced to head for shelter at TCF Bank Stadium Monday evening after lightning strikes were spotted miles from the stadium.
Fans were asked to proceed to the concourse or the nearby Mariucci, Ridder and Williams Arenas at around 8:15 p.m., minutes before the concert was set to begin.
Officials eventually gave the all-clear and fans were allowed to return to their seats at around 9 p.m. Beyonce finally hit the stage about half an hour later.
The university announced Friday evening that the scheduled Beyonce concert at the stadium won't begin until after 8:30 p.m. It was scheduled for 7 p.m.
