Best & Worst Super Bowl Commercials 2015
From a little puppy's adventure to reunite with a friend .... to Kim Kardashian taking multiple selfies, here's a look at what we think were the best and worst of Super Bowl ads in 2015.
--------
Best
1. Budweiser - "Lost Dog"
While it plays off last year's success (with pretty much the same commercial), it's got all the keys to a successful Super Bowl ad. The "aww" factor, adventure, conflict, friendship, and on-point music elements make for an emotional roller coaster -- all within 1 minute.
2. Esurance - "Sorta Pharmacist"
Walter White is back! That's all.
3. Always - "#LikeAGirl"
A strong message that shows how a simple phrase can affect young girls/women everywhere.
4. Microsoft - "Braylon"
Technological innovations help a young boy -- who was born missing the tibia and fibula bones -- not only walk, but run and play sports. It must be watched.
5.Snickers - "The Brady Bunch"
Snickers uses the same this-is-how-you-act-when-hungry methodology, but the juxtaposition of Danny Trejo and the Brady Bunch (impressively edited into the same scene) makes for TV gold.
--------
Worst
1. T-Mobile – "#KimsDataStash"
Kim continues to be as insufferable as possible.
2. uCool - "Heroes Charge"
How does a game app acquire the funds for a Super Bowl commercial? In-app purchases! WARNING: video game graphics are not as great as they may appear in Super Bowl commercials.
3. Jublia, "Tackle It"
Toe nail fungus + lazy animations showing a foot-football player = why it's on this list. Meh.
4. Nationwide - "Make Safe Happen"
I don't know about you, but this commercial was the ultimate Super Bowl party buzz-kill. Yes, of course, accidental child deaths are horrible. But the point of this commercial is hard to understand: So, we need insurance to prevent deaths ... or to help when terrible things happen? Showing images of the kid doing awesome things (flying/sailing) just to tell you he died is just bad taste.
5. Fiat - "Blue Pill"
This could be the best, but it's also the worst. It's a dirty joke that hilariously made it to TV, but come on ... so childish. We live in amazing times.
