The Minneapolis Photo Center is a non-profit cooperative that allows artists in the community to meet and share ideas. Membership gives locals access to darkrooms, digital editing labs and participation in exhibitions. The Photo Center hosts artist talks and events throughout the year as well. The Independent Filmmaker Project is an organization in Minnesota that supports the digital arts and provides education to the community. Along with video arts and film education, IFP offers classes in digital photography and introduces all aspects of creativity through photograph. Classes start in the spring and are offered to youth and adult age groups. IFP also provides a darkroom suite as well as any other resources a photographer may need.
