Everyone stocks up on candy to ward off would-be tricksters. Children are given license to roam the neighborhood searching for loot, proudly showing their treasures to any who ask. The City of Anoka offers Minnesota's largest Halloween Day parade with marching bands, floats and airplane stunts soaring over the parade route. Anoka's Grand Day Parade takes place on Main Street on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 1 p.m. The Mall of America claims to host the world's largest trick-or-treat event. Minneapolis provides family fun festivities for Halloween in numerous parks. Check with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board for the target age group for each event. All kids are welcome at the Governor's Residence, 1006 Summit Ave., St. Paul for treats from 5 to 7 p.m. on Halloween evening.

"Halloween is my favorite holiday and is kind of a big deal in St Cloud," Nikki Fisher of St Cloud's Visitors and Convention Center said. Fisher says parents with little kiddies like to take them to Crossroads Shopping Center where they get to visit all the stores to fill their bags with lots of goodies. St Cloud has lots of nice neighborhoods, but you will find lots of kids living in the area between Roosevelt Road and 33rd St. South.
