Bernie Sanders To Hold Town Hall Meeting In Rochester On Thursday
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders is slated to make his second campaign visit to Minnesota this week.
According to his campaign website, the Vermont senator will be in Rochester for a fundraising brunch and town meeting on Thursday.
The event goes from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., and it'll take place at the Rochester International Event Center.
Topics for discussion in the meeting include getting big money out of politics, income inequality, climate change, and making college affordable.
The suggested minimum donation for the event is $25, the campaign website said.
In May, Sanders stopped in Minneapolis for a similar town hall meeting.
The progressive candidate is hoping to build a solid base in Minnesota so as to compete against Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton.
