Bernie Sanders Making Campaign Stops In Hibbing, Rochester
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders will host a rally in Hibbing Friday.
Sanders will host a rally at Hibbing High School to talk about tuition-free higher education, climate change and universal health care.
Sanders' visit comes just days before voters hit the polls in 12 states, including Minnesota for Super Tuesday. The Iron Range has a much whiter electorate than South Carolina, which votes on Saturday. A recent poll shows Hillary Clinton leading Sanders nearly 2 to 1 among Black and Hispanic voters.
Sanders also plans to campaign in Rochester on Saturday, at the Mayo Civic Center's Exhibit Hall.
Clinton's daughter Chelsea will be in Minnesota Sunday and Monday campaigning for her mom.
On the Republican side, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio hosted a rally in Minneapolis this week.
