Baseball Club Breaks World Record For Charity
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Members of the PHD Baseball Club in Cottage Grove broke a world record over the weekend, and did so in the name of charity.
The team played the longest continuing baseball game ever, breaking the old record of more than 62 hours straight. The team started playing Friday morning, and the game wrapped up Sunday night. Their time to beat was 62 hours and 33 minutes.
The game was also a fundraiser as the players collected donations for ALS Minnesota. The same group tried to break the record last year playing at the Metrodome, but they had call it quits after about 40 hours.
