Bands Will Rock Grandma's Marathon
DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Grandma's Marathon plans a big lineup of bands to go along with the running this weekend.
The Big Top Tent kicks off Friday night with a new start time. Music will start at 7 p.m., an hour earlier than in past years. That's partly to accommodate those running in the William A. Irvin 5K that starts at 6 p.m.
The Friday night cover charge also is being eliminated this year. Last year it was five bucks.
Among performers on the schedule are Big Wave Dave and The Ripples, Rogue Valley, Lucy Michelle and The Velvet Lapelles, Sarah Krueger, Mynx and Rhino.
Grandma's Marathon mainstay GB Leighton headlines the Saturday afternoon and evening schedules. GB Leighton is making its 17th appearance at Grandma's, after debuting in 1996.
