Badger Foundry Workers On Strike
WINONA, Minn. (AP) — About 150 workers at a Winona foundry are on strike and are picketing their employer.
But, the union leaders at Badger Foundry won't say why. Earlier this week they voted to reject management's proposal for a new contract. The company says its offer would have allowed employees "to continue to receive excellent pay and benefits."
WKBT-TV says the Allied Worker's International Union local is picketing at the plant. Some hold signs that say "On Strike UnFair."
The last time Badger Foundry workers struck the company was in September 2006.
