Bachmann: A 'Privilege' To Attend Thatcher's Funeral
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Rep. Michele Bachmann said it was a "privilege" to attend the funeral of Margaret Thatcher.
Congresswoman Bachmann was one of three members of the U.S. House to attend the funeral in London.
The Minnesota Republican said the conservative Thatcher was "most definitely" an inspiration, speaking in a phone interview from London with WCCO Radio's Dave Lee.
"She was the most consequential female politician of the last century and she certainly had a very profound influence on my life," said Bachmann.

Bachmann also took note of the heightened security at the funeral as a result of the Boston Marathon bombing. She says it took longer for attendees to be seated because they had to pass through security at St Paul's Cathedral.
