Baby Falls Out Of Window In Coon Rapids
COON RAPIDS, Minn. (WCCO) – Police are investigating after a baby boy apparently fell out a window Saturday at an apartment complex in Coon Rapids.
Anoka County Dispatch received a call about the incident on the 11000 block of Raven Street NW in Coon Rapids. The complex is a three-story building, but it's not known how far the baby fell or where exactly at the apartment complex the incident happened.
Sgt. Tom Hawley says the little boy was leaning up against a screen window when it gave way.
"Child landed on the lawn down below," Hawley said. "Police, Cood Rapids Fire Rescue and Allina Ambulance responded, and he was taken to Mercy Hospital in Coon rapids."
Hawley says there was family inside the apartment at the time of the accident. The baby was crying when paramedics took him away; his condition is not known.
