Authorities Seek Suspect In Beltrami Co. Pot Operation
BLACKDUCK, Minn. (WCCO) -- Authorities discovered 85 marijuana plants hidden in a Blackduck, Minn. house and are now seeking the occupant of the residence, according to the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office.
On Sunday, a search warrant was executed at the rural residence located in the 6000 block of Scenic Highway NE. It is there that authorities found the pot plants being grown in two large metal storage containers, which were in hidden rooms under the garage floor.
The hidden rooms could only be accessed through a disguised trap door found under a work bench in the garage, authorities said.
Blackduck is located about 25 miles northeast of Bemidji.
