Authorities: Over $10K In Aztec Artifacts Stolen In Little Canada
LITTLE CANADA, Minn. (AP) -- The Ramsey County sheriff's office is asking for the public's helping in finding stolen Aztec artifacts.
The artifacts are owned by a Twin Cities dance troupe. They were housed inside of an enclosed trailer that was in a secured storage facility in Little Canada.
The theft was reported Wednesday when the storage facility contacted the owners and asked if they had removed their trailer from the property.
Among the items stolen from a large ceremonial Aztec drum valued at over $10,000, musical instruments, traditional costumes and other items used by the group in cultural presentations and ceremonies.
A reward of $1,000 is being offered for the items' return.
