Authorities: Man Flees Police With Girl, 10, Inside Car
ST. CLOUD (WCCO) -- A 22-year-old St. Augusta man is in custody after fleeing police with a 10-year-old girl inside his car, according to St. Cloud Police.
Police said James Retzlaff fled police in St. Cloud on Tuesday afternoon after they attempted to stop him on his felony warrants.
Retzlaff allegedly led police on a chase through alleys on the north side of St. Cloud for less than one mile before fleeing on foot. He was arrested after a short foot pursuit.
The girl found in the car was returned to her legal guardian. She was not injured.
Retzlaff is currently being held at the Stearans County Jail on felony controlled substance warrants, fleeing in a motor vehicle and endangerment of a child.
