Authorities ID Man Shot, Killed In Brooklyn Center
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said Monday a 25-year-old Minneapolis man was the victim of an apparent murder in Brooklyn Center last week.
Police responded to an incident at about 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 22 at the Super 8 Hotel in Brooklyn Center. When authorities arrived, they found a man in the parking lot of the hotel who was suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Authorities pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office on Monday identified the man as Michael Dwayne McGowan. According to the report, he died of a gunshot wound to the chest and his death was a murder.
Brooklyn Park Police have not yet arrested a suspect and said the incident is still under investigation.
