Authorities ID Man Killed In Goodhue County Crash
GOODHUE, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities have identified the man who was killed in a crash on Highway 52 near Goodhue Tuesday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol identified the man as 27-year-old Curtis Flom of Nerstrand.
The accident happened at about 7 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 52 and County Road 9, which is just west of Goodhue, according to the State Patrol.
Authorities said a 1998 GMC Sonoma was traveling eastbound on the County Road and crossing Highway 52. A 2002 Volkswagen Golf was traveling northbound on Highway 52 when the two cars collided in the northbound lanes of Highway 52.
Flom, who was driving the GMC Sonoma, died at the scene, and a 51-year-old woman from Rochester suffered non-life threatening injuries. That area is known as one of the most dangerous in the state for driving.
The accident remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol and the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office.
