Attend Gophers Spring Practice & Kill Personally Thanks You
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Gophers have their final week of spring practice this week, and unlike most major college football programs anyone can come and watch for free.
And when you come to watch Gopher football practice, there's a certain protocol you're asked to follow -- supply name, address, and phone number.
That's because coach Jerry Kill personally mails a thank you note to every fan who comes to spring practice.
"I've written a lot, and I'm sure I haven't spelled everything perfectly, and there's probably been a period or two missed," Kill said.
Rachel Lee likes the thoughtful touch.
"I think you look at so many other schools, whether in the Big Ten or around the country, they're so closed off," Lee said. "And instead we're trying to gain the trust of our fans."
