Anoka-Henn. District Reaches Agreement On Lawsuits
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Anoka-Hennepin School board will vote Monday night on an agreement reached over lawsuits brought against the school district by six students.
The school board said they have come to an agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights regarding the lawsuits over bullying.
The school board has scheduled a meeting for 6 p.m. Monday to hold a brief vote before going into closed session to discuss the matters of attorney-client privileges.
The board will then reopen the meeting to take a vote on the agreement, at approximately 6:20 p.m.
A short press conference will be held in the lobby following the vote, with a brief presentation from School Board Chair Tom Heidemann and Superintendent Dennis Carlson.
