Andrew Zimmern's AZ Canteen At Food Truck Fair
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – If you're headed to the second-annual Food Truck Fair in Uptown this weekend, you find 29 food trucks all with unique menus.
Each will offer up a little something for everyone, even multi-cultural and sustainable foods like those offered at AZ Canteen. This food truck has a famous owner.
Andrew Zimmern, known for eating his bizarre foods, is bringing some of the world's most interesting fare to the street.
"His moto is, if it looks good he'll eat it so that's what he lives by and that's usually what he does," said Mateo Mackbee of AZ Canteen. "We might throw some cockroaches or something like that at you, something chocolate covered of course."
That was a joke, but you will find goat, a protein used in many parts of the world instead of steak or pork. You can find the trucks parked south of Lake Street on Hennepin Avenue to 31st Street and East to Holmes Avenue. There will not be an entry fee to get in.
The fair will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. this Sunday. On top of the 29 food trucks there will be local craft beers and live Minnesota bands.
