Alexandria's Big Ole Undergoes $26K Repairs
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One of Roadside America's top attractions is going to get some much needed repairs.
Big Ole, the very large statue in Alexandria, has some structural problems. The 28-foot-tall Viking was built for the 1964 World's Fair in New York City, but now he has big holes and cracks that need filling.
Ole's owner set out to raise $26,500 for the repairs, and the community rallied with support.
Repairs on Ole are already underway, but if you have any ideas on improving the new Ole, the owner wants to know. Click here to email your ideas.
