Police: Man Leads Officers On Chase To Trailer Park
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police arrested a man Friday night after he led officers on a brief chase that ended in a trailer park in central Minnesota.
Justin Priebnow, 34, called 911 just before 11 p.m. Friday, saying 32-year-old Curt Matthew Craven intentionally rear-ended his vehicle, according to the Alexandria Police Department.
When officers found Craven's vehicle, he refused to pull over and a chase ensued, police said. After hitting spike strips placed by police, Craven drove off the road into a trailer park. He finally stopped in front of a trailer, according to police.
Craven exited his vehicle, but refused commands to get on the ground. Police said they were forced to use a Taser to subdue Craven and handcuff him.
Officers carried Craven to a squad car after he refused to walk on his own, police said. Once Craven was in the car, he damaged the door and window bars by kicking them.
Police said Craven smelled of alcohol. His license was cancelled.
Craven is being held on the charges of second degree assault, vehicle pursuit, driving while cancelled, felony level DWI, obstructing legal process with force, reckless driving and criminal damage to property, according to police.
