Officials Find Body Of Missing Man In Alexandria Lake
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A man who went missing on a lake in Alexandria Saturday morning has been found dead, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
Search and rescue officials were called to Rotary Beach on Lake Le Homme Dieu in Alexandria around 9:15 a.m. on a report of a man overboard.
A witness said that the man, later identified as 29-year-old Brandon Darryl Randt, was testing a new boat and appeared to be returning to shore.
The witness said he lost sight of the boat and then saw Randt in the water and the boat circling. The witness showed rescuers Randt's last known location.
Authorities discovered his body in 24 feet of water just after 1:30 p.m.
