Alcohol Sales To End At Start Of 3rd Quarter At Lambeau
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Green Bay Packers are already planning for a rowdy game this weekend, and they're adjusting plans to make sure safety is a priority.
Among those changes, the Packers announced they would be ending alcohol sales at the beginning of the third quarter for Saturday's game against the Minnesota Vikings -- instead of the standard end of the third quarter.
According to the team, this is due to the fact that night games have a history of presenting additional challenges in terms of inappropriate behavior, compared to normal day games.
With a Saturday night game, a Wild Card playoff matchup and a heated division rivalry, the Packers say the stadium and law enforcement personnel will be extra vigilant.
They also encourage fans to get to the stadium early, since extra security screening measures will be in place.
