After A Slow, Snowy Start, Target Field Is Making A Recovery
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It took a while, but a spokesperson with Target Field says they are finally making up for the business they lost early in the season.
Chris Isle says the start of the season was tough, several games were snowed out. But he says there seems to be a pent up enthusiasm as in the last home game series, crowds were higher than normal.
A strong crowd also showed up on Friday at the Basilica Block Party.
Also, Friday's Kenny Chesney concert saw a crowd at Target Field of 43,940 people.
Isle said it was the "the highest attendance of any event ever held at Target Field."
A spokesperson for the tour said the Minnesota crowd seems to be a planning crowd, tickets virtually sold out last December hours after going on sale.
The southern based crew says the Twin Cities are one of their most important stops. They also said the summer sure seems nice here.
