After 2 Parking Lot Punches, 1 Man Dead, 1 Charged With Manslaughter
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A Minneapolis man is accused of killing a Brooklyn Park man with two punches thrown during a parking lot dispute.
Roosevelt Garnell Johnson, 42, is charged with manslaughter in the Aug. 5 death of Anthony Lloyd, 53.
Surveillance video shows a group of five men walking near Welcome Avenue and Brookdale Drive.
The footage shows Johnson pushing Lloyd, Lloyd backing away, Johnson leaning in for the one-two punch and then Lloyd falling to the ground and striking his head on the concrete, according to the criminal complaint.
Johnson made his first appearance in court Tuesday.
