Adrian Peterson To Play In Sunday's Colts Game
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson says he is ready to return after missing the last 11 games with a torn meniscus in his right knee.
Peterson told Dash Radio on Friday that he feels good after a week of practice and is ready to play Sunday against Indianapolis. Peterson returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time since he was injured in Week 2 against Green Bay.
He says he consulted with coach Mike Zimmer, the team's doctors and athletic trainers, and his wife before making the decision to play.
Peterson was not listed on the team's injury report on Friday, meaning he is fully healthy. Safety Harrison Smith (ankle), cornerback Trae Waynes (concussion), right guard Brandon Fusco (concussion) and receiver Laquon Treadwell (ankle) are all out.
