Adrian Peterson Named MVP, OPOY
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - Vikings fans have been chanting it all season long: A.P. for MVP. But on Saturday night, the chant became the truth.
Adrian Peterson accepted the Associated Press MVP award just one year after an ACL injury. He almost set the single season rushing record and led the Vikings to a 10 and 6 seasons with a spot in the playoffs.
Peterson's season was one of the most remarkable comebacks in NFL history. He now joins Alan Page and Fran Tarkenton as the only Vikings to ever win the MVP award
Peterson also accepted the award for Offensive Player of the Year at the 2nd Annual NFL Honors Show on CBS, held in New Orleans.
