85-Year-Old Man Hit, Killed By Vehicle In Cottage Grove
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities are investigating after a man was struck and killed by a SUV on 70th Street near Goodview Avenue in Cottage Grove.
Police say officers, paramedics and fire responded to the scene at 2:04 p.m. Tuesday and found the victim unresponsive.
Benjamin Francis Tims, an 85-year-old Cottage Grove man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are investigating the crash. They say the driver of the SUV remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The driver has been identified as a 52-year-old Cottage Grove woman.
