7-Vehicle Crash Causes Major Back-Up On I-94

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Motorists were delayed after MnDOT said at least seven vehicles were involved in a crash on Interstate 94 West early Tuesday morning.

The crash, which happened just before 6:30 a.m., blocked part of westbound I-94 near the Huron Blvd. bend, just west of Highway 280.

MnDOT said the road was already down one lane because of construction. Traffic cams in the area showed cars squeaking by on one lane during the clean-up and traffic was backed up for at least four miles. It was cleared around 7:20 a.m.

It is not clear yet if there were any injuries.
