68-Year-Old Woman Killed In St. Cloud, Son Arrested
ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO/AP) -- Police have arrested a 40-year-old man after his mother was killed in a case of apparent domestic violence in St. Cloud early Thursday morning.
According to police, 68-year-old Geraldine Delores Bennett was found injured at a home on the 2700 block of Atwood Drive. The call was made just after midnight.
She had sustained wounds from a knife or some other form of "edged weapon," police said.
The victim was taken to St. Cloud Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police said Bennett's son Chad Matthew Pulju, of Rosemount, was taken into custody, and is currently being held on second-degree homicide while authorities investigate Bennett's death. He has not been formally charged.
Authorities say Bennett's husband, Pulju's step-father, was also inside the house at the time of the incident.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting in the investigation
