5 Charged In Robbery, Kidnapping Of Boy With Autism

ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- Three adults and two teenagers were charged in connection to a Dec. 23, 2010 incident in St. Paul where a 16-year-old boy with autism was robbed, handcuffed and shot in the face with a BB gun, the Ramsey County Attorney's Office announced Friday.
Tiffany Ann Clock, 21, and Anthony Martin Ramos, 24, both of Columbia Heights and Trenton Eugene Johnson, 22, of St. Paul were charged with one count each of first-degree robbery and kidnapping for the purpose to terrorize.
Two other teenage boys, ages 17 and 15, were charged with the same offenses in juvenile court.
"This was an outrageous attack on a most vulnerable victim. This office will prosecute these cases vigorously," said Ramsey County Attorney John Choi.
According to the criminal complaints, the victim was lured to a location between the Conway Recreation Center and an adjacent library where the five people charged are alleged to have helped each other in repeatedly knocking down the victim, punching him, robbing him of a CD player, a camera, a cell phone and money in his wallet.
The complaint states that the victim was handcuffed during the incident.
Ramos is accused of shooting the victim in the check and the left side of the head with a BB gun before he was released.
Each felony count carries with it a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and/or a $35,000 fine.
