MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- From the president's overtime proposal to Apple launching their new streaming service, here are the four stories to know for Tuesday, June 30.
Overtime Proposal
President Obama wants to extend overtime protection to about 5 million workers.
The president is unveiling a proposal to require overtime pay for workers who earn nearly a thousand dollars a week. That's more than double the current threshold.
He believes it would strengthen the middle class.
The National Retail Federation says buisnesses would probably convert many salaried workers to hourly status.
Leap Second
We all want more time and tonight we get it -- one whole second!
At 7 p.m. our time, a leap second will take place to adjust the Earth's time in coordination with an atomic clock created in the 1950s.
An extra second is added to our clocks around every 10 years and is particularly important for things like GPS navigation, to accurately measure location and distance.

The ladies will be tested tonight. They face No. 1 ranked Germany in tonight's semifinal showdown.
There is a viewing party for anyone interested at Target Field station. The game starts at 6 p.m.
If they beat Germany, the team will play Sunday for the championship.
Apple Music
Apple will launch its new music streaming service Tuesday.
It's free for now. In three months, subscribers will pay $10 a month to access the full iTunes library -- think Pandora meets Spotify.
You will also get recommendations based on your preferences.
To get it, Apple users will need to download the new iOS update and find the new Apple Music App on the home screen.
