4 Road Deaths Reported During Memorial Day Weekend
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Department of Public Safety reported four fatalities from vehicular crashes in Minnesota over Memorial Day Weekend.
The fatalities listed by the department included:
- A 32-year-old female was killed in a crash authorities believe involved alcohol. That crash happened in Rock County on Saturday morning. She was not wearing a seat belt.
- Two people were killed in Jackson County after a motorcycle crashed on County Road 4 Saturday evening. Both the 34-year-old driver and his 38-year-old passenger were killed.
- An 80-year-old driver was killed in Pope County on Monday morning at Highway 29 and County Road 18.
The public safety department said the deaths over the weekend pushed the state's 2012 traffic fatality count up to 103 for the year, compared to 108 at the same time in 2011.
